Now that the term is coming to an end I've had a little more time to find some new inspiration. I just wanted to show a few sites I found that I'm incredibly in love with.
The first is called 'Dancers Among Us' in which a photographer took shots of a variety of very talented NY dancers (two are from So You Think You Can Dance!) at NY landmarks among 'average' people. The line of their bodies is gorgeous and I love how random it is.

The other, I don't know how many of you have already discovered it but I just found and can't stop looking at. It is basically an amassed collection of everything delightful. It features several categories and people post and repost images. Pinterest (pinterest.com)
Finally, I wanted to share what I have been spending every weekend this term doing. It is very hard to explain so I prefer to just show a video. We're a collection of kids from 17-22 that come from Eugene, Seattle, California, Salem and Portland plus we have a kid from Germany! We have been rehearsing since October, and rehearse every Friday night and all day Sunday in Portland. OCI is a competitive, non-profit performing arts group (colorguard and drumline). This is OCI's third year, we just got back from a regional in California this last weekend which we took first at! Our next step after a few local competitions will be World Championships in Dayton, Oh in April! Enjoy our production of The Red Shoes. (It's still a work in progress but impressive none the less I think). Oh, and our show is based on the movie/ballet/story about a girl who sells her soul to the Devil for a pair of red shoes that make her dance beautifully but then they take control of her and she can't take them off. Think Black Swan but with Red Shoes.

Exra Credit
Kelsey Taylor brought to my attention that I missed a few of her pieces when I uploaded her post. I've uploaded these pieces below, and for anyone who wants to earn some extra credit you can write some comments for Kelsey on these pieces.

Critique Instructions
Below are the instructions for the critique assignment (same as the hand out I gave in class).
I spent a good 4 hours setting up the blog and and editing/uploading photos of your work, so I expect you to spend at least that long on your work. It's really important to give and get comments from your peers, it will be an important tool for you in anything you might choose to do.

Below I have uploaded photographs of everybody’s work.
I have already send everyone author invitations via your U of O e-mail account. Follow the instructions and log onto the blog.Below You see each person’s work uploaded in a separate post titled with their name (20 altogether, not counting the very first post that was titled “Highlights From the Term” and this post. You do not need to write comments for these).
For EACH PERSON (except for your own post) write AT LEAST 3 positive comments and 3 criticisms. The positive comments can focus on technique, style, content, development of ideas, humor, abstraction, use of material, boldness, line, experimentation and more. In your criticism you can address the same issues.
Other points to discuss: composition, execution, presentation, energy level in the work, is it interesting? What would you do differently etc. Try to think about what comments would be most useful for you and apply it in your writing. If you say you “like it” or “dislike it” you must say why. Ex: I like your composition… BECAUSE of the way you arrange and organize your shapes, your interesting cropping of figures etc etc.
-Make sure to SIGN your comments so I know who wrote what. If you are writing anonymously on the blog, e-mail me a copy of your writing with your name so I know it was you and I can grade your comments.
-BY FRIDAY you should have written 19 critiques altogether.
-EACH CRITIQUE should be AT LEAST 200 words long. The way you write will be taken into account to determine your grade. Whatever style writing you use, I want to see that it reflects thoughtfulness and respect for each person’s effort.
-In case you are unable to work with the blog you may send me your comments
VIA E-MAIL by the same deadline. I will also accept written (typed) critiques in my mailbox by the same time and deadline as the blog (Friday, 5PM). If you use either of these options make sure you indicate WHO you are critiquing and sign your name.
**I will send/upload 2-3 examples of well-written criticisms from our class to help you if you are stuck
or not sure how to start.
I have enjoyed this class, and I hope you all continue drawing and making art!
